History

Since its establishment in 1984, FOPRODEX, which is supported by the State and managed by CEPEX, has continuously evolved to help Tunisian businesses in expanding into international markets.

1984

Creation of FOPRODEX under Law N° 84-84 of December 31, 1984.

1985

: Law No. 87-83 of December 31 1987 (Finance Law for 1988) introduced a tax in favor of the Export Promotion Fund, Article 49.

1988

Decree No. 98-674 of 16 March 1998, amending Decree No. 85-944 of 22 July 1985, which sets the conditions and procedures for granting support from the Export Promotion Fund, as previously amended by Decree No. 88-678 of 24 March 1988.

1998

Decree No. 98-674 of March 16, 1998, further amending Decree No. 85-944 of July 22, 1985, as amended by Decree No. 88-678 of March 24,1988, regarding the conditions and procedures for support allocation from the fund.

Eligibility Criteria

In accordance with Article 14 of the Investment Incentives Code, Law No. 93-120 dated December 27, 1993.

The Industry and Innovation Promotion Agency (API) for industrial activities; the Agricultural Investment Promotion Agency (APIA) for agriculture, CEPEX for foreign trade businesses; the National Handicrafts Office (ONA) for handicrafts, etc.

Legal File

A complete legal file is essential to access FOPRODEX support. This file will allow the verification of your company's eligibility and ensure that all necessary conditions are met. It must be updated periodically on January 1st of each year and include the following documents :

 

    • Operating license (API, APIA, ONA, etc.) / Certificate of incorporation (Certified true copy)
    • Company bylaws (Certified true copy)
    • Trade register / National Business Registry
    • Tax and customs identification (Certified true copy)
